Debbie Allen Dance Academy will present its award-winning family spectacular “Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” starring Raven Symone at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center  December 7 (7:30pm), December 8 ( 7:30pm), December 9  (2pm & 7:30pm) and December 10 (2pm). The show runs for 90 minutes.

     This is the twelfth annual presentation of “Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” written, directed, and choreographed by Debbie Allen.  Following the idea of the original, its Christmas Eve and the Johnson's are having a grand party. The Christmas gifts are shared and young Kara receives a Nutcracker filled with hot chocolate – her favorite. She falls asleep and the journey begins when the Nutcracker comes alive!  Kara takes the audience on a mystical, magical journey, from Candy Cane Land, Egypt, the Indian Rainforest, Bollywood, Jazz land, and the Land of the Kimono Dolls.  Starring Debbie Allen, Raven Symone, Tichina Arnold, Carlo Imperato, and many more!  With an original score by Mariah Carey, Arturo Sandoval, Chau-Giang Thi Nguyen, James Ingram, Shiamak Davar, Tena Clark and Thump!
